The City of East Lansing’s Code Enforcement Department regulates all new and existing buildings. They can be of service to you if you have contacted your landlord about a health and safety issue that has not been addressed in a timely manner. They also can answer any questions you might have about rental inspections or zoning codes. The inspectors at Code Enforcement are genuinely concerned about the health and safety of MSU students, and do their best to keep the neighborhoods around campus up to International standards.
